Right2housing.eu: the EU cities’ call for adequate housing

Housing platform
Building on their 1.5 year joint initiative, UIA and URBACT launch the “Cities engaging in the right to housing” platform providing hands-on practices and reflection through case studies, resources and strategies adopted by cities; and giving them a voice to call for a long-term political commitment to adequate housing.

You can discover the platform here

Rightothousing.eu is the result of the UIA and URBACT joint knowledge activity ‘Cities engaging in the right to housing’ that facilitated exchanges between cities and connections with relevant players at national and EU levels.

Having a look on the platform, you will find out more about the three interrelated thematic areas where UIA and URBACT cities have been particularly active: collaborative housingno one left behind; and fair finance.

The collaboration between the two EU-funded programmes was a first of its kind, paving the way for future knowledge sharing activities in the frame of the European Urban Initiative. Under the lead of Laura Colini, URBACT and UIA Expert, 3 web conferences were organised as well as 3 sharing events, gathering more than 1000 participants with the participation of an average of 300 cities, in order to exchange practices among city administrations implementing rights-based housing politics.

Along these activities, different inspiring resources such as city videos (e.g Brussels), podcast (Ep.1) and web conferences supports have been developed.

Join the movement of cities engaging in the #right2housing, explore the platform, be inspired by actions taken to reduce housing inequalities and stay tuned with the News & Events page
